Vol. 8
I got back from a girl’s weekend in New York last night and had an abrupt return to reality with Kindergarten 101 this morning. Sharing some of what I wore and what I saw shopping in between decadent meals and glasses of champagne.
New Nikes
I brought my tried and true Stan Smiths with me to wear around the city during the day and not even halfway through my feet started killing me. Guess they were a little worn out. I stopped into a nearby Nike store and picked up the Killshot 2 to wear out of the store. I really love the look of them with jeans and while they have taken a little time to break in, I think they are a great addition.
Day to Night
I changed into this dress for the first warm afternoon to wear with sneakers and without the belt. For dinner I switched to heeled sandals and added the belt. I’ve had it since the fall, but this was my first time to wear it and I am obsessed. It wasn’t super wrinkled out of the suitcase and it’s so comfortable. I love how versatile it is too. I think it would be cute with a turtleneck underneath with tall boots in the fall/winter too. The white is calling my name.
Another versatile dress is this one, I wore last spring in NY and am wearing as I type. La Ligne is always a good idea.
Another perfect white shirt
One of my favorite white shirts is out in a couple of new colors. Its lightweight and gauzy and a nonstop wear in the summer months.
Toteme
Finally saw the Toteme bags in person this weekend and they are gorgeous. High quality leather, unique silhouettes, but still give off a classic vibe. Great neutral colors too! I see one in my future!
Watching
We saw the play, Appropriate, on Broadway starring Sarah Paulson. It was a phenomenal show with outstanding acting. Heavy topics, but tons of hilarious moments. Would highly recommend if you’re in New York before June 23.
On the flight home I watched the new Anne Hathaway movie, The Idea of You. I have not read the book it’s based on, but really enjoyed the movie. It was cute and entertaining. If you need something to watch, definitely check it out!
